Peacefully at home, one day after her 93rd birthday, on June 24th, 2010, Mrs. Ruby B. (Sparks) Barry, wife of Mr. Aubrey R. Barry of Beaver Harbour, NB. Born at Beaver Harbour on June 23rd, 1917, she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Norman) Sparks. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, in addition to her husband Aubrey, she is survived by two sons; Wayne (Nancy) Barry of Ottawa, ON and Brian Barry of Beaver Harbour, one daughter, Mrs. Anne Lewis of New Maryland, NB, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruby was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by one sister, Lillian, and by three brothers, Neil, Norman and John.
Ruby was a member of the Beaver Harbour Baptist Church for many years where the she was the pianist for 58 years. She loved music, cooking and enjoyed singing. Church and family life where her passion.
By Ruby's request there will be no visitation. A service will be held at the Beaver Harbour Baptist Church, Beaver Harbour NB, on Monday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Brent Wagstaff officiating, followed by the interment at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery. In Ruby's memory, donations to the Beaver Harbour Baptist Church or the Charlotte County Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
