MOUNT WILLIAM - Stewart, Viola Mae, 71 of Mount William Road, Pictou County, passed away Saturday June 26, 2010, at her home.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Rose(Duff)Dunn.
Viola was a resident of Mount William for more then 30 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Cecilia(Dave)Bernas, New Glasgow; sons, Jim(Jean), New Glasgow; Steven(Paula), New Glasgow; seven grandchildren: Viola, Dave, Naomi, April, Rosie, Jimmy and Kevin, seven great-grandchildren, Viola was mom to all her grandchildren. Sisters: Debra(Bill)Turnbull, Stellarton; Rosalee Helwig, Stellarton; Linda(Harry)Watters, Halifax; Diane Rutt, Hubbards; Brothers, Bob(Donna),Stellarton; Fred, Pictou; Roy, Waterville; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Percy Stewart; a sister, Margaret Penny in 2007, many brothers and sisters.
Cremation to take place. There will be no visitation or memorial service at the request of the deceased. A graveside committal service will be held 11a.m. Wednesday from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton, with Father Bill Rankin officiating.
Donations in memory of Viola May be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Society. The family wish to say a special thank you to the VON.
