It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Glenwood Burton Mersereau on June 26, 2010 at the DECH at the age of 79. Glen was born on July 23, 1930 in Fredericton, NB to the late Winslow and Freda (Noble) Mersereau. He was the husband of the late Joyce (Gallagher) Mersereau who passed away on July 11, 2005. Glen is survived by his five daughters: Frances Gallagher, Brenda Perrin (Blake), Kathy Mersereau-Phillips (Dwight), Nancy Davenport (Wes Hill) and Norma Mersereau, his four sons: Allan (Michele), Gene (JoAnne), Bruce and James, three sisters Ruth Lindfors (Bob), Ida Scott, Dorothy Phillips (Noel) and one brother Trevor Mersereau, sisters-in-law, Pearl Mersereau, Eileen Mersereau, Alice Mersereau and June Tapley (Gordon), Mavis Gallagher a brother-in-law Hazen Gallagher. Remembering Glen will be his twelve grandchildren: Stephen Gallagher, Mark Nason (Charlene), Amanda Duffy (Chad), Melanie Lawson (Nick), Ryan Nason, Fraser Mersereau, Karen Mersereau, Daniel Mersereau (Charmene), Nick Davenport (Laura), Michelle Davenport, Micheal Corbu and Mia Mersereau, and his three great grandchildren: Izabella Duffy, Jayda Morehouse and Tristan Davenport along with many nieces & nephews. Glen was a member of the Tracy Baptist Church and was self-employed. Besides his parents and wife he was predeceased by his children Christina, Linda and Ronald, two sisters: Donna Hoyt and Judy Beers, three brothers Hilton, Vernon and Raymond.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Tracy United Baptist Church Family Center on Monday, June 28, 2010 for visitation from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service will be from Tracy United Baptist Church on June 29 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. James Harrison officiating. Interment to follow in the Gladstone Cemetery.
