It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alvin Cassell announce his passing on Tuesday, June 29th, 2010 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 71st year. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Ivy (nee Anderson), his son Lyndon (Pam), and daughter Lynette (John Ford), three loving and adoring grandchildren: Thomas, Chad and Brandy, two sisters: Shirley Eveleigh, and Daphne (Art Osmond), his in-laws Malcolm Hounsell, Rich (Eva) Anderson, Phyllis (Jim) Brake, Rendell (Jean) Anderson, and Belle (Abe Crocker), also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Blanche & Mark Cassell, sister Joyce, father & mother-in-law Lloyd & Flossie Anderson and brother-in-law Hedley Eveleigh. Visitation will take place from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake today, Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place on Friday at 2:00 pm. from St. Michael's Anglican Church with Canon Meade officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to I.C. Unit of the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, and/or to The St. Micheal's & All Angels Anglican Accessibility Church Fund in Alvin's memory would be graciously appreciated by the family. Cremation to follow.
