It is with great sadness that the family of the late Genevieve Mulrooney announce her passing at her residence on Thursday, July 1, 2010, at the age of 64 years. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Patrick; three sons: Peter (Debbie) Mulrooney of Kippens, Patrick (Delores) Mulrooney of Stephenville and Shawn (Rachael) Mulrooney of Maine, USA; two daughters: Rhoda Mulrooney (Troy Duffy) of Kippens and Jeanette Mulrooney-French (Jamey French) of Corner Brook; four brothers: Anthony (Dorothy) Whiffen of Oshawa, Edwin Whiffen of Stephenville, John (Laurie) Whiffen of Oshawa and Peter (Donna) Whiffen of Oshawa; four sisters: Rita (Marcus) O'Neill of Corner Brook, Esther (Gerald) Peddle of Deer Lake, Violet (Barry) Durdle of Fort McMurray and Margaret (Clarence) Aucoin of Stephenville; 12 grandchildren: Jason, Janice, Patricia, Richard, Kelly, Paddy, Matthew, Megan, Danielle, Noelle, Shawn and Jaime; four great-grand-children: Brandon, Taylor, Landen and Logan and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Rhoda Whiffen; infant son, Anthony Mulrooney. Friends may call at Russell's Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, July 5th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen's Parish, West Street, Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to the Bay St. George Sick Children's Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
