It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Imelda Maillet, 94, wife of the late Clorice J. Maillet, on Monday July 5, 2010, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Previously of Jones Street in Moncton, she resided at the Manoir Notre-Dame for the last six years. Born on April 3, 1916 in Saint-Edouard-de-Kent, NB, Imelda was the daughter of the late Clétus and Elise (Allain) Maillet.
She will be sadly missed by her four daughters: Annette Wortman (Neil) of Shemogue, Clarice Thibault (Robert) of Moncton, Diane Roy (Pierre) of Charlesbourg, QC and Danielle Boudreau (Michel) of Dieppe; her son: Jean-Eudes "John" (Dorine Poirier) of Moncton; 10 grandchildren: Jacques, Michelle, Marc, Jean, Lyne, Carole, Simon, Elise, Julie and David; seven great-grandchildren; her sister: Jeanne Allain (late Patrick) of Moncton; her sisters-in-law: Rita Maillet (late Hector) of Saint-Antoine and Marie-Mai Maillet (late Normand) of Saint-Edouard-de-Kent, as well as many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Besides her husband Clorice (July 2002), she was predeceased by an infant daughter, Dorine; her sisters: Marie-Anne, Suzanne and Thérèse, as well as her brothers: Antoine, Arthur, Eric, Ovila, Hector and Normand. The family will receive condolences at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure (10:15). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi R.C. Church, Dominion St., Moncton, on Thursday July 8, 2010 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
