Henderson, Elizabeth Florence - 81, Truro, passed away peacefully May 18, 2009 at her home. She was a daughter of the late Fraser and Adelaide (Geldart) Fisher. Betty made many friends over the years with whom she always stayed in touch. She had a great love for family and friends and had many happy gatherings at her home. Elizabeth was also a past president of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Branch 26 of Truro. She is survived by daughters, Kelly, Toronto, Georgie (Glen) Miller, Edmonton, AB; sons, Tony (Ardyce), Calgary, AB., Joel (Jane), Truro, Charles (Yvonne), Sharon, Ont; sisters, Sylvia Barnhill, Truro, Carole (Ernie) Jakal, Calgary AB; brothers, Albert and John, both of Truro, Jerry (Marina), Masstown, Arthur (Vera), Debert; grandchildren, Jesse, Luke, Sarah, Joel, Laura, Alexandria, Matthew and Jack; great-grandson, William. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, George Lawson Henderson; daughter, Paulette Cowan; sister, Shirley; brothers, Paul and Donald. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23rd from 11:00 am until noon followed immediately by a memorial service at noon in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev.
