Angus Archie MacQueen, 92, a resident of Richmond Villa, St. Peters, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010.
Born in North Framboise, he was a son of the late Neil and Christy (MacIntyre) MacQueen.
Angus was a veteran of the Second World War and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 47, St. Peter's. He was retired from the Department of Transportation and a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Framboise.
Surviving are his daughters, Florence (Dan) MacCormick, Gabarus Lake, Judy Munroe, St. Peter's and Nancy (Kelly) Clannon, Pt. Michaud; sons, Roddie , St. Peter's and Jimmy (Delores), Fourchu; sisters, Margaret MacLeod, Stirling, Sadie MacAskill, Prime Brook and Annabelle Campbell, Framboise Intervale; brother, John James (Margie), Sydney River; seven grandchildren, Rhonda, Dawn, Jennifer, Tracy, Jeffery, Amber and Travis and nine great-grandchildren, Jillian, Brad, Coady, MacKenzie, Jake, Lyla, Luke, Avery and Josie; several nieces and nephews.
Angus was predeceased by his wife, Maude (MacLeod); son, John; sister, Mary Ann MacQueen and brother, Jimmy.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel today (Saturday) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and St. Andrews Presbyterian Church on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Framboise on Monday 2 p.m., with Pastor Kevin Richardson officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Richmond Villa Recreation Activity Department or a charity of one's choice.
