The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, May 9, 2009, of Wanda Pearl Rayner, of Summerside, aged 89 years. She was a resident of South Shore Villa, Crapaud, and previously Park Hill Place, Summerside. Wife of the late William Rayworth “Ray” Rayner. Born in Summerside, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Margaret (Clark) Yeo. Survived by her daughters, Shirley (Bernard) Callaghan, Charlottetown, Gail (David) Richards, Victoria, B.C., sons, Garth Rayner, Amherst, N.S., Gary (Lynda Lowry), Charlottetown, and special friend, Ann Hughes, Amherst, N.S., grandchildren, Ben, Sophie and Sam Rayner, Jennifer Richards, Heather Richards (Chris Schmidt), Ottawa, Ont., Kelly Richards (Darryl Mooney), Victoria, B.C., great-grandchildren, Ivorie and Alivia Richards, sisters-in-law, Doris (Leigh) Linkletter, Hazel (Edwin) Young, Ruth Moase, Marjorie Rayner, Geraldine Inman and Millie Weagle, and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister, Muriel (Curtis) Olive, half-brother, Edgar (Margaret) Yeo, half-sisters, Gladys (Bayfield) Ellis and Frances (Kenneth) Bruce, brothers-in-law, Loring (Margaret) Rayner, Delbert Rayner, Ken (Marion) Rayner, Stutley Moase, Mervin Inman and Erwin Weagle, sisters-in-law, Emeline (Warren) Nesbitt, Amy Rayner and Sylvia Day. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Sunday, then to Trinity United Church, Summerside, for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Moase Funeral Home and Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of service, at Trinity United Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or to Trinity United Church, Summerside, would be appreciated.
