Died April 29, 2009 in Union, SC. Mrs. Ralph was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. She taught high school biology in Rossville, Georgia, and Chattanooga, Tennessee. She taught at Holy Heart of Mary Regional High School in St. John's for 29 years. She retired from Holy Heart in 1998 and moved back to her hometown of Union in the year 2000. She had many friends and former students in Newfoundland and they held a special place in her heart. Mrs. Ralph was the wife of Dr. Earle K. Ralph for 48 years. Survivors also include a son, Dr. Scott K. Ralph and wife Valerie in Oakville, Ontario, Canada; one precious granddaughter Victoria Alexandra, whom she loved dearly; one sister Doris Hodge and husband Charles; one brother Buck O'Shields and wife Doris. Also, a special sister-in-law Janet Ralph and husband Samuel Scott of Boston, MA. Funeral services took place on May 2, 2009 at the Nativity Episcopal Church in Union, SC.
