Ulysse Leger of McGinley, Memramcook passed away at the Dr. Georges L Dumont Hospital on Friday, July 9, 2010 at the age of 88. Born on October 6, 1921 in McGinley, he was the son of the late Sifroid Leger and the late Ida Cormier. He worked as a handler in the freight shed for CNR until his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd degree of Memramcook, Golden Age Club of Memramcook and the Societé Historique de Memramcook. He was a veteran of the World War 2 and was a member of the Memramcook Legion Branch # 89. He is survived by his wife Corinne (LeBlanc) Leger; four daughters, Laurina (Lionel) LeBlanc, Gisele (Jean-Claude) Leger Cormier, Majella Martin all of Dieppe and Jeannette (Hubert) LeBlanc of Old Shediac Rd; two sons, Rheal (Simonne) and Jean-Paul (Della) both of Dieppe; one sister, Soeur Angeline Leger n.d.s.c. of Dieppe and two brothers, Leonard (Rita) and Romeo (Eveline) both of McGinley, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, one sister-in-law Marie-Louise Leger and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters Dorilla Dupuis and Soeur Rita Leger n.d.s.c. and by two brothers Leandre and Gerard.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook, on Monday, July 12 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday, July 13 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral mass will be held at Saint Thomas de Memramcook RC church, St-Joseph on Tuesday July 13, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
