It is with great sadness that the family of the late Allister Rowsell announce his passing on Monday, July 12th, 2010 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home, at the age of 82 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife, Marjorie; children: Karen Williams (Richard), Keith (Susan) and Bob (Janet); grandchildren: Jonathan and Melissa Williams, Michael and Heather Rowsell; one great-granddaughter, Haley Rae; brothers: Tom (Laura) Rowsell, Cecil (Sylvia) and Ross (Debbie) Rowsell; sisters: Helena Anderson, Rose Wheeler (Lorne), Mary Perkins and Edna Ivory (Larry); sisters-in-law: Lorraine Butt and Helen Goodyear, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Helena Rowsell; brothers: Fred and Bill Rowsell and mother and father-in-law: Lillian & Stephen George. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue, on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 15th at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Temple, O'Connell Drive. Majors Calvin and Loretta Fudge officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
