It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ignatius Woodfine announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the age of 85 years. He will be sadly missed by his two sons: Harold (Brenda) Woodfine of Stephenville, Kirby Woodfine (Teena Oake) of Stephenville, one daughter, Geraldine (Ron) Penney of Musgravetown, six brothers: Morris, Dave, Leo, Peter, Mick, Frank, four sisters: Rita, Lucy, Sara, Roseanne and 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Ellen Woodfine. Cremation has taken place and friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Friday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, May 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville. Interment will take place at a later date in Western Bay. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
