TOWNSEND, Leonard Andrew- 49, Sandy Point, passed away suddenly in Coldbrook surrounded by his loving family. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Mervyn and the late Margaret (Fraser) Townsend. Leonard spent the majority of his life as a fisherman. He was also a very talented handyman and was generous with his time to family, friends and anyone that needed help. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria; son, Clinton (Stephanie), Coldbrook, Kings Co.; sisters, Deborah Townsend, Beaver Bank; Barbara (Ervin) Currie, New Glasgow; grandson, Jacob Andrew; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Philip. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. in H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Shelburne. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 2 P.M. in H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Chapel with Pastor Wayne Dooks officiating. Interment in Buchanan Cemetery, Sandy Point.
