Passed peacefully away enroute to Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, July 11, 2010, William Thomas Barrett of Spaniard's Bay, aged 88 years. Predeceased by sisters: Janet, Joyce and Emily; brothers: Isaac and Isaac Edward. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Jacqueline Alice Barrett (Compagnon) of 60 years; daughter Linda (Art); sons: Bill (Shirley), Jack (Christina) and Robert; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Young's Funeral Home, Spaniard's Bay. Funeral will take place at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the Anglican Church with interment at United Cemetery, Spaniard's Bay. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the staff of Collingwood Downs of Clarke's Beach who provided stellar care and support for William Barrett in his final months. Donations in his memory may be made to Coughlan United Church, Harbour Grace or a charity of one's choice.
