The passing of Marion Andrea "Andy" Boone, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on July 12, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 28, 1945 in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of the late David Goodwill and Nell (MacPherson) Boone. Andy was a teacher with District 18. She was a member of Brunswick Street Baptist Church, the Women's Auxiliary of Brunswick Street, the Elm City Echoes, the Red Hats Society and volunteered for many years at the York Regional Library. Andy loved singing and loved working with children. She is survived by her special friends, Debbie and Mike Staples, Barbara Young, Pamela Sparkes and Jane Darcas; nephew, Adam Masland (Kim); niece, Jennifer (Owen Charlton); great nieces and great nephew all of Nova Scotia. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Linda Masland and her brother-in-law, Christopher Masland.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from Brunswick Street Baptist Church on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Greg Geldart officiating. Interment to be held in Fernhill Cemetery, Sussex, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Salvation Army or to Brunswick Street Baptist Church.
