The death of Marguerite Kathleen (Richard) Guimond, wife of the late Theodore (Ted) Guimond occurred on July 12, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Barnesville on September 10, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Marguerite Richard. Marguerite was a longtime resident of Saint John West. She enjoyed her card nights and visits from her close friends and her daily outing to the grocery stores. She is survived by her son Ted (Hélène) Guimond, daughters; Lisa (Patrick) Mackie of Miramichi, Lana (Danny) Wood of Browns Flat, and Tobi Lynn Guimond of Saint John, sisters; Barbara (Joe) Hourihan of Bloomfield, twin sister Florene (Norman) Surette of Moncton, Myreene (Chris) Tobin of Calgary, and grandchildren Nathaniel, Enoch, Isaac (Guimond), Alexandra and Gillian (Mackie) Sydney and Melanie (Wood) and one great-grandchild Oasis Guimond.
She was predeceased by sisters Rita Elderkin, Mary Dempster, Eleanor Richard, and brother Ralph Richard.
Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John West (634-1701). Visiting on Thursday from 2 to 4, and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. from St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
