Juanita Marie (Purcell) Wetmore - 1925 - 2010 - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Juanita Marie (Purcell) Wetmore on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Protem Health Centre, Moncton NB at the age of 84. She is predeceased by her husband Harry Burton of 58 years, and is the last surviving member of her family. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Emelyn (Eisner) Purcell of Portuguese Cove, Nova Scotia and is fondly remembered by her children, Robert (Linda) Portuguese NS, Beverley Power Halifax NS, Randy (Anne) Halifax, Joanne Fawcett (Jack) Moncton NB and Michael (Vicki) Jasper AB. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Cheryl (Verhaeghe), Roderick, Justin Wetmore, Christopher Power, Daniel Wetmore, Jodi and Jenna Fawcett, Trina (Amundrud) and Adam Wetmore. Also very proud of eight great grandchildren. Our mother was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia and in 1967 with her family, moved to Lower Coverdale, NB where she resided until her death. Nita was an active person who lived life to the fullest. She loved being surrounded by her family who meant the world to her. She enjoyed gardening, travelling, cooking, skating, walking with her family and most of all her four-legged companion Bailey. She was a passionate painter, an avid reader and was well known for her shopping abilities. In respect with Juanita's wishes their will be no visitation. A celebration of Juanita's life will be held at the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 11:00 am followed by a reception in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations in Juanita's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
