It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Barbara Ann Jerrett (nee Pardy). Barbara passed away early Thursday morning, May 21, 2009, surrounded by family.
Barb was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was one of the kindest souls who walked the Lord’s earth. Words cannot express the deep sorrow we feel at the passing of such a beautiful person nor can they convey the joy, love and gratitude we feel for the privilege of having her in our lives.
Barb was predeceased by her husband, John Jerrett, father, Patrick Pardy, mother, Julia (Richard) Pardy, brothers, Joseph, Tommy, Patrick, sisters, Theresa, Rhoda and Ellen.
Barb is survived by son, John, Kitchener, Ont.; daughters, Florence (Ken) Reid, Kitchener, Ont., Darlene (John) Bowie, Alliston, Ont., Barbara (Eric) Wynn, Blacketts Lake, N.S. and Michelle (Blake) Smith, Kitchener, Ont.; sisters, Lill Bishop, North Sydney, Josephine (Kenny) Jardine, Sydney Mines, Mona Linder, North Sydney; brother, Ernie (Chris) Pardy, Ontario; grandchildren, J.J., Rodi, Courtney, Parker, Nicole, Kyle, Nathan, Eric, Maddie and Audrey and great-grandchildren, Bailey and Hailey; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Sydney Mines with Fr. Hughie MacNeil and Fr. J.J. MacDonald officiating.
