Kathleen Lancaster Brown - 1907-2010 - The death of Kathleen Brown, formerly of Dalhousie N.B., wife of the late Harold Brown, occurred on July 13, 2010 at Pine Grove Nursing Home, Fredericton, N.B. She was born on June 25, 1907 in Boston, Lincolnshire, England to Elizabeth and Ernest Dunham. Survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Betty) Briggs and her husband Paul, a grandson Mark Briggs, two granddaughters Paula Briggs and Meghan Huestis; four great grandaughters, Ashley Briggs and Keely Briggs; Santana Briggs and Tahara Briggs; great grandson Mathewson Huestis; nephews Robert Brown and his wife Kathy of London ON, and Richard Brown and his wife Dodi of Oliver BC; and her wonderful friend and caregiver Ellen Hurley Legere. Predeceased by her parents,her husband Harold, two brothers, Hubbert Dunham and Charles Dunham and infant twin granddaughters. Kathleen was a lifelong supporter of her church, Saint Mary's Anglican in Dalhousie, and the Salvation Army. Independent and fiesty, she had a wonderful sense of humour, all of which were evident to her family, friends and the loving and caring staff at Pine Grove Nursing Home.
There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. A private family interment will take place at the Dalhousie Cemetery in New Mills NB at a later time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to McAdams Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton, NB. www.mcadamsfh.com
