Vera Grace Greenwood Willick - Passed away at St. Peter's Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the age of 95. Wife of the late Wilfred (1972), mother of Patricia Dobie (Andrew), Stoney Creek and Karen Lovell (Peter), Fredericton, N.B. Grandmother of Richard Dobie (Cheryl), Stoney Creek, Thomas Dobie (Mojdeh Bakhit), Stoney Creek, Gregory Dobie (Correen Baas) of Smithville. Great Grandmother of Lauren, Gavin, Josephine and Samantha Dobie. Daughter of the late Josephine (Hill) and Harold Greenwood. She was born on Main Street in Chippawa on January 25, 1915 and lived there most of her life. She attended King George V School and NFCVI. On September 5, 1936 she married Wilfred. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church from childhood. She lived in her own home in Chippawa until 2003. Special thanks to the staff of 3E, St.Peter's hospital.
Vera's family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home 5917 Main Street, on Friday, July 16th from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Church in Chippawa on Saturday, July 17 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
