On Sunday July 11, 2010, Edith Gertrude "Edie" Bell (nee Jones) formerly of Riverhurst, Saskatchewan, passed. away peacefully with family by her side, at Chez Nous Senior Citizen Home, in Moose Jaw, at the age of 88 years. In keeping with Edith's wishes, cremation has taken place at Prairie Memorial Crematorium in Moose Jaw. A Celebration of Edith's life will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Monday, July 19, 2010 at 11:00 am, followed by a public graveside service at the Riverhurst Cemetery, conducted by Della Ferguson. A Memorial Tea will follow at the Riverhurst Community Hall which family and friends in the community are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, it is Edith's wish to have donations made to the Sask. Heart & Stroke Foundation, 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, S7K 2H8, or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St.W., Moose Jaw, S6H 2M2. In living memory of Edith, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by Prairie Memorial Funeral Home, Chaplin, Saskatchewan.
