Surrounded by her loving family Ruth passed from this world with grace and dignity on May 21, 2009 at the age of 93 years. Predeceased by her husband Herbert (1990), brothers Gerald, Douglas and David. Left with loving and cherished memories, son Hugh (Christine); daughters: Barbara (Terry Parsons); Charolette and Dorothy (Ross Clouston); four grandchildren; Michael and Lisa Parsons and Sara and Daniel Clouston; two great-grandchildren: Isabelle and Meredith Parsons; brother Gordon (Mardi) and sister Aileen Martin. Also leaving to mourn sisters-in-law Jean and Elizabeth Bastow, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank-you to the staff of St. Lukes Homes for their professional care and comfort shown to Ruth during her stay there. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Friday and Saturday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Service from The Anglican Church of St. John the Baptist on Monday at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at The Anglican Cemetery on Forest Road.
