Passed peacefully away at his home in Milltown on Monday, July 19, 2010, Mr. George Ambrose Pope, age 71 years, formerly of Stone's Cove, Fortune Bay. Leaving to mourn his loving family: wife, Marjorie; son, Terry (Lisa) at Milltown; two daughters, Pamela (Lawrence House) at Goulds and Lisa (Scott Willcott) at St. Alban's; two grandchildren, Jesse and Desiree Howse; an adopted sister, Dianne Scott (Sam) at Bay L'Argent plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, George and Effie Pope, and parents in law, Gordon and Bessie Hiscock. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at 2:00 pm from Christ Anglican Church in Milltown with Rev. Roy Simms officiating.
