On July 19, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer, Beverley Kennedy, surrounded by her loving family, left her earthly home to be with the Lord and Saviour, at the age of 71 years. Bev spent her working years on the family farm at Shamrock, alongside Sam and the boys. She especially enjoyed the harvest season, where her days were spend cooking and hauling grain. Bev was devoted to her community and church, she enjoyed countless hours volunteering and serving on different committees. After moving to Moose Jaw she continued to enjoy entertaining and cooking for the many friends and neighbours that she had. She is survived by her loving husband Sam; children: Michael (Maureen) of Kelowna, B.C. (James, Shayna, Karsten); Robert "Bob" (Jody) of St. Boswell's, Sk. (Darren, Ian, Cameron, Kimberly); Lyle (Connie) of Medicine Hat, Alta. (Matthew, Tyler, Joel, Katelyn, Hanna); and Larry of Shamrock, Sk., sisters-in-law: Grace Chapman of Bogota, S. America, Phyllis Kennedy of Medicine Hat, Alta., Mary Kennedy of Swift Current, Sk. and Mary Kennedy of Moose Jaw, Sask., numerous nieces and nephews. A Service of Celebration will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in The First Baptist Church, 24 Oxford St. W., Moose Jaw with Pastor Barrie Gammie officiating. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Beverley's memory for either the First Baptist Church Elevator Fund or a Charity of Choice, will be gratefully received by the family.
