Joseph "Joe" C. Hachey, 82, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, July 19, 2010. Born in Jacquet River, he was the son of the late Joseph and Amanda (Lapointe) Hachey. Joe was the former owner/operator of Joe's Barbershop on Pacific Avenue and served with the Canadian Merchant Navy. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan.
Joe will be sadly missed by his sister and three brothers; brother-in-law, Wayne Lutes (Joyce), Elgin, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Hachey (2000).
Thank you to the nursing staff of the Moncton Hospital for the love and compassion shown to Joe during his stay and a special thank you to Dr. Susan Skanes for her excellent care of Joe.
In honoring Joe's wishes there will be no visitation hours or funeral service.
In Joe's memory, donations to Friends of the Moncton Hospital or a memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
