1921 - 2010 - Lillian Sherwood passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the age of 88. Born in Petitcodiac, daughter of the late Eugene and Mildred (Steeves) Bleakney. She will be sadly missed by her four sons, David (Anne), Donald (Irene), Doug (Jacqueline), Dale (Linda), two daughters, Carol (Gerry) Wilkins and Sandra (Lester) Hackett, 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also survived by one sister, Shirley Hopkins, three brothers, Royden (Norma) Bleakney, Elmer (Pauline) Bleakney and Austin Bleakney as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her husband Frank (1978), four brothers, Charles, Gerald, Emery and Dana, three sisters, Catherine, Caroline and Doris. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 11:00 am followed by a reception in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations made to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
