1921 - 2010 - Richard "Dick" Cook, 88, of Lakeburn, NB, passed away on Thursday, July 22nd 2010, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital.
Born in Chatham, NB, he was the son of the late Stanley and the late Hamlyn (née: Graham) Cook.
Mr. Cook retired from Speedway Express, he was a WW II veteran having served with the army and a member of the Legion in Chatham.
He is survived by one daughter; Carol Cormier of Dieppe; two sons: Rick (Cathy) of Lakeville and Mike of Vancouver, BC; five sisters: Carmel Williams, Lourdes (John) Turnbull, Eileen Bowes, Lillian Doiron and Shirley Savoie; one brother, James (Carroll), all of Miramichi; three grandchildren: Jeff, Danny and Stefanie; one great grandson, Justin as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Helen "Honey" in 1994; two sisters: Jean, Laura and also by two brothers: Melvin and Junior.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be celebrated at the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, July 26th 2010, at 2 pm.
Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundations would be appreciated by the family.
