Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family after a short illness, to be united with his loving wife Laura who predeceased him in 1991, John (Jack) McDonald age 87 years. Leaving to mourn his sons: Wayne (Linda), Jerry (Dallas) and Derm (Kim); daughters: Patsy (Allan Cooper), Elaine (Rick Crowe), Linda (Brian McDonald) Dan Jackie McDonald-King; special niece Eileen Lucas; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother Gerald McDonald; a large number of nieces, nephews, family and card playing friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday May 27, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church, Mundy Pond Road, Interment to follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
