Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, May 24th, 2009. Michael Joseph O’Brien, aged 78 years. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Catherine O’Brien. Left with fond and loving memories his loving wife and best friend of 55 years Rita (nee Quinlan) 4 sons: Robert, Michael (Jenny), David (Ellen) and Tony (Tammy); three daughters: Linda (Edward), Marie (John), and Karen (Fred); 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters: Theresa and Maureen (USA) and Catherine (St. John’s); two brothers: Don (Toronto) and Pat (St. John’s) as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, May 27th, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in his memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
