Clarence Junior Gould raised in Amherst, NS, resided in Quispamsis, NB, husband of F. Alfreda (Freda) Byers, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Amherst, NS on April 1, 1938, he was a son of the late Clarence and Ethel (Slack) Gould.
Clarence worked as a Hoisting Engineer, and was a member of the Seaman's International Union.
In addition to his wife, Clarence is survived by a son, Michael Gould of Victoria, BC, daughters Tanya Robinson of Massachusetts, USA, Valerie Theriault (Maxwell) of Quispamsis and Anne Beshara (Thomas) of Quispamsis, brother Charles (Rita) Gould of Massachusetts ; sister Doreen Vandervoort (Eric) of Amherst; grandchildren Kim Gould, Rachel Robinson, Tonya Smith, Tommy Beshara, Maxwell Theriault, Kyle Theriault and Shane Theriault; great grandchildren Tori, Avery, and Nate Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Clarence was predeceased by his first wife, Jeannie Dube Gould; a son, Kevin Byers; and brothers Stan, Lous, and Earl Gould and a sister Evelyn Gould.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 4 p.m. in the Amherst Cemetery with Rev. Philip Read officiating.
