The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, July 25, 2010 of Joseph Arnold "Huck" Gallant of North Rustico, age 73. Huck was the loving father of Shelly Robbins (Derrick Teed), grandfather of Christopher, Kyle, Brittany and Michael and great-grandfather of Cohen. Also left to mourn are a special friend Beryl Tanner, his brothers and sisters, Audrey (Des) Corrigan, Theresa, Velda (Eric) Gallant, John, Lorraine (Leo) Rooney, Paul (Darlene), Gary (Stella), Joyce (Helen) and David (Marsha) and many nieces and nephews. Huck was predeceased by his parents Andy and Florence Gallant, his two wives, Frances and Myrtle, his brother Kenneth "Miller" and nephews Ronnie, Terry, Kevin and David. Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Rd., New Glasgow for visitation on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Church Cemetery.
