BLAGDON, Arthur Eli (retired teacher) — Passed peacefully away in the presence of his family, at the Hoyles Escasoni Complex, on October 5, 2008, age 70 years, of Seal Cove C.B.S. (formerly of Boxey). Predeceased by father Stanley, and mother Amy, and brother Henry. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 48 years, Dora, son David, (Leslie), Prince George, B.C., daughter Elaine (Reuben Porter), daughter Denise (Ian Cumbie), son Brian (Tracy), Surrey, B.C., nine precious grandchildren, Philip and Steven Porter, Duncan and Emily Blagdon, Olivia, Caroline and Maeve Cumbie, Sophia and Matthew Blagdon. Also leaving to mourn sister Margaret (Don Emberley), Halifax, N.S., brother Gerald (Barbara), St. Anne’s, Ontario, sisters-in-law, Lila May (Lloyd), Winnie Pope (Hiram), Alice Long (Philip), brothers-in-law, Ches Pardy (Regina), and Sydney Pardy, cousin, Gordon Sheppard (Shirley), as well as a large circle of family and friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Monday 7-9 p.m., Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday 10-12 noon. Funeral Service in St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Upper Gullies, on Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at 2 p.m. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Upper Gullies.
