It is with great sadness the family of Sadie May Yearwood, loving wife of Buster (Ellsworth) Yearwood, announces her peaceful passing on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at the St. John St. Stephen Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Born 1927 in Montreal, PQ she was the daughter of the late Armond and Vina (Veniot) Patterson. Sadie was a member of St. Pius X Parish. Her greatest enjoyment came from her time with Buster, her children and family. She enjoyed going to dances, bowling, her long drives around the province with Buster for an ice cream and following Adam and Erin around hockey rinks, baseball fields, basketball courts and soccer fields. Besides her loving husband Buster of 60 years, she is survived by her children Paul (Pam), Terry (Cindy), Mary Ella Buckley (Marshall) and Cathy Wallace (Paul); grandchildren Adam and Erin Buckley; brothers Murray Patterson (Irene), Joe Patterson (Helen) Jimmy Patterson (Bernadine) and John Patterson (Yvonne); sisters-in-law Beatrice Victor and Catherine (Sis) Reynolds; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by sisters Dorcas Kelly and Eileen Craft; brothers-in-law Doug Kelly and Gordon Craft.
Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 9 a.m. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
