GRAY, Kathleen Carolyn - of Hebron and Tidal View Manor. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen "Kay" Gray (nee Bain) on July 26, 2010. She was born at the Ardnamurchan Club farm in Argyle, Yarmouth Co. on December 7, 1919. She was a hairdresser for a number of years. In later years, along with her husband Marshall, they owned and operated a restaurant named after her, Kay's Drive-In, in Hebron, Yarmouth Co. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha (Leslie) Tedford; sister, Phyllis Fuller; seven grandchildren and nine great-grancdhildren. She was predeceased by her husband Marshall; daughters, M. Nancy DeMond of Barrington and Winnifred M. Wood of Raynardton; brothers, Eugene and Forest Bain. She had a great love for the people who surrounded her. While she was at home, the family would like to thank the HSWs who cared for her. They would also like to extend a thank you to the doctors in Halifax, Dr. Webster for his special care and to the nursing staff and Marge at Tidal View Manor for giving my mother such loving care. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Yarmouth. Visitation took place an hour prior to the funeral service which was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 29 from Sweeny's Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Dave Wilcox officiated. Interment followed in Chegoggin Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
