Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, May 25, 2009, of Wilfred Lorne Campbell of Elmwood, age 81 years. Husband of Vera (nee MacPherson). Father of Arthur (Elizabeth) and Deborah Murley (William). Grandfather of Danny (Kim), Karen and Neil Campbell, Katherine and Jonathan Murley and great-grandfather of Brandon, Ryker and Alden. Survived by his sisters, Ethel Drake of Cornwall and Lauretta MacLeod, Arizona; and brother-in-law, Arnold MacDonald, Long Creek; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Acorn, Charlottetown. Predeceased by his parents, Harry and Margaret (MacDonald) Campbell; by his brothers, Heber (Norma), Neil and Jack Campbell; and by his sisters, Florence (Alton) Newman, Jessie MacDonald, Dorothy (Garfield) MacFadyen and Belle (Ralph) Younker; by his brothers-in-law, Wendell (Ivy) MacPherson and Edward Acorn. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Thursday from the Burnside Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. with interment in the church cemetery.
