FUCH - Adela (Rose) passed away at the Palliser Regional Care Center in Swift Current, SK, on Sunday, May 24, 2009, at the age of 99 years. Rose was born in Poland on May 1, 1910, and eventually moved to Canada. She was wed to Peter in 1937, in Moose Jaw, SK. Rose worked at several restaurants in the Swift Current area such as the Akropol, Skyline, Trucktown and the Modern. She was a devoted homemaker who loved children, gardening, dancing, music, and poems. Rose also enjoyed cooking, baking and crafts including embroidering, paper flowers, rug making, and making feather pillows. She leaves to mourn her passing: her daughters, Margaret Colbow, Joyce (Nat) Ooms, Sylvia Zakaluzny, Jeanette (Allan) Jacobs; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Peter in 1974; sister, Anna and her husband Nick Nyczai in 1979; and her son-in-law Don Colbow in 2007. A funeral service was held for Rose on Wednesday, May 27, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Allan Jacobs officiating. Pallbearers were Mike Kraus, Michael Jacobs, Kent Zakaluzny, Lance Colbow, Greg Bryson, and Theo Bryson. James McLauchlan played the guitar. Interment followed at Mount Pleasant Burial Park, Swift Current, SK.
