Cornelis Hartenberg went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, on Monday, May 25, 2009, in his 63rd year. He will be dearly missed by Mieke (Terwel) Hartenberg, his loving wife of 41 years. Father of Rev. Richard and Julie Hartenberg of Porterville, California, Joyce and Rick Klumpenhouwer of R.R. 1, Listowel, Ont. and Marc and Teresa Hartenberg of Peterborough, Ont. Grandfather of Tori, Katelyn, and Natalie Hartenberg, Derek, Erica, Rachel, and Rebekah Klumpenhouwer, and Peter and Grace Hartenberg.
In 1989, Cornelis felt called to attend Briercrest Bible College, where he received his B.A. in education and a Master's Degree in Theology, where he was the Registrar of the Seminary until March 2007. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at Listowel Evangelical Missionary Church on Friday, May 29th at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Bob Krueger officiating. Interment in Molesworth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Briercrest Family of Schools would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, Ont.
