Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s on Monday, May 25, 2009, Malcolm G. Butt of Carbonear, age 84 years. Predeceased by first wife: Stella; brothers: Lloyd, Reuben and Frank; sisters: Elsie, Bertha, Edna and Lizzie. Leaving to mourn: wife Doris; three daughters Vera (Arthur) Roy and Brenda (Gerald) Companion, both of Scarborough, Ont. and Noreen Butt, Toronto, Ont.; one son Andrew (Eileen), Fort McMurray, Alta.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; stepchildren Woodrow (Eileen) Snow, Kelligrews and Sylvia (Melvin) Fillier, Thompson, Manitoba; one brother Hayward (Gertrude), Carbonear; sisters-in-law Phyllis Butt, Carbonear and Florence Butt, Kitchener, Ont.; also a large number of other relatives and friends. 2 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear.
