It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear father, brother, grandfather and uncle, William Leo Wall. William passed away Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at Harbour View Hospital Sydney Mines.
Born in North Sydney, he was the son of the late Thomas and Jane (Cooke) Wall.
William was a member of St. Joseph Church, North Sydney. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas with the Canadian Army. Bill was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 19.
Bill is survived by his son, Bill (Carol) Wall, Fredericton, N.B.; sisters, Anne O'Toole Musgrave, North Sydney, Josephine Christopher, Detroit; three granddaughters, Kim, Lisa and Robin Lynn; one grandson, Bernie; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary 'Mae' (MacKinnon) Wall, one daughter, Joan Chase and son-in-law, Bill Chase, sister, Lilian Norman, brothers, Tom, Joseph, Phonse, Gerald, Louis, Leo, Patrick, Angus and Edward.
There will be no visitation or service. Arrangements entrusted to the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
