Peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, of Mr. Claude N. Stewart of Charlottetown, age 63 years. Beloved husband of Gloria (nee Doiron) Stewart, and dear father of Travis (Paula Lambe) Stewart. He is also survived by his loving grandson, Kobe, and special daughter-in-law, Yvonne Rose; sisters, Marguerite Burdette of Charlottetown and Gail (Lorne) Barthe of Hamilton, Ontario, sisters-in-law Anna Gaudet, Theresa Carmichael, Florence Beaton, Marie Misener and Irma Gallant; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Neil and Marion (MacFadyen) Stewart; brothers and sisters Alex, Floyd, Zelda, Joyce and Norma. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 Saturday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery. If so desired, memorial contributions in Claude’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, St. Vincent de Paul Society, or Sherwood School Fund.
