Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 8, 2010, Herman Gushue of Brigus, aged 83 years, retired employee of Marine Atlantic. Predeceased by his parents Moses and Marion (nee Percy), baby daughter Denise, brother Gerald and sister Bernice. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Shirley (nee Courtney); daughters: Maxine (John Hedderson), Sharon (William Hurley) and Michelle (Vincent Morgan); seven grandchildren: Cordell, Sonya, Boyd, Wanda, Melissa, Daniel and Courtney; nine great-grandchildren; sisters: Doris Thurrott, Uldine Lambe and Laura Pomeroy; brother Raymond (Marie); also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Broughton's Funeral Home, Brigus, with visitation on Monday from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m., Tuesday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Funeral to take place on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 2 p.m. from the Brigus United Church.
