The passing of Samuel Wilson Babonau, husband of Eileen (Wallis) Babonau, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on August 10, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 14, 1920 in India, he was a son of the late Thomas and Eleanor (Mouze) Babonau. Samuel was a retired Industrial Engineer. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Graham Wallis Babonau of Fredericton, NB; his daughter, Kaye Yvonne Dixon (Dale) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Megan, Angela and Nathan.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 13, 2010 from 12 to 2 pm followed by a public Memorial Service at 2 pm at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB with Pastor Tim Guptill officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samuel's granddaughter, Megan.
