His surviving children, which he was proud of and enjoyed spending time with, Roger Rochon (Mary Gilyan), Sydney, Russell Rochon (Patti Morgan), Berwick and Anne Rochon, Cole Harbour; three grandchildren, Terrence Rochon, New Waterford, Kyle Rochon, Halifax and Nathan Rochon, Berwick and a dear family member, JoAnna LaTulippe-Rochon.
His second love was his country. Victor served his country proudly during the Second World War and the Korean Conflict where he was decorated six times with service medals. Victor was employed with the Canadian Armed Forces, retiring as a naval officer. Later he was employed with the Department of Transportation until his retirement.
Cremation has taken place. By the request of Victor there will be no visitation, and private funeral service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the entire staff of Taigh Na Mara, for the wonderful care and compassion given to dad over the past four years. We are grateful for the loving way he was cared for during his final days. The love and kindness that was shared with dad by the staff was very much appreciated.
'God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you and whispered "Come to Me"
A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best.'
