Peacefully at Versa Care on Saturday, July 31, 2010 in his 91st year. Husband of Muriel (nee Fox). Loved father of Ted and wife Florence, and James and wife Lynne. Loving grandfather of Amanda and Jillian, Amber (Shane), Laura, and James and great grandfather of Finn and Lucie. Dear brother of Patricia McAllister (Gordon), David (Myrna), and Robert (Diane). Predeceased by sisters Charlotte Smith (Leslie) and Ruth Cook (Vernon). Jim served overseas during World War II as a bomb aimer with the RCAF where he flew 34 sorties over enemy territory with the 427 Lion Squadron. He worked as a Custom Officer with Canada Customs for over 25 years until retirement. Jim was also a life member of the Brantford Ex-Imperial Club.
