AMHERST With saddened hearts, we announce the death of our beloved David Winston Shearer, age 66, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in North River, NS, he was a son of the late Henry and Dorothy Shearer.He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth (Brown) of 46 years, Amherst; daughters, Ronda Daigle (Tim Clowater), Fredericton, Julie Knisley (Jeff), Cambridge, ON and Cindy Shearer (David Jollymore), Halifax and son-in-law, Rob Daigle. He was loved dearly by his grandchildren, Amber, Katelyn, Paige, Elliot and Morgan. He is also survived by his siblings, Gerald (late Helen), North River, Keith (Joan), Fredericton, Ruth Graham (Woodie), Upper Stewiacke, Wayne (Dianne), Moncton; sisters-in-law Glenna and Marlene and many nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his brother, Larry and in-laws, Harry and Myrtle Brown.
