PETTIS, FERNE C. - 84, of Sydney Street, Parrsboro passed away Monday, May 25, 2009 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Advocate Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Pleman and Elsie (Mitton) Morris. She is survived by sisters, Juanita Morris, Advocate Harbour; Edith Dowe (Ronald), Trenton, Ont.; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Pettis (Bruce Henwood), Parrsboro; granddaughter, Sandra (John Gallant), Amherst; great granddaughters, Hanna and Sydney. She was predeceased by her husband, Claude; a son, Sydney; sisters, Marie MacAloney; Glennis Field and Clarabelle McCully; brothers, Keith and Forrest. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Palliative Care of South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro or to a charity of choice.
