Kenneth LeRoy Taylor - Ken Taylor, husband of Kathleen Taylor (Ferguson) passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a lengthy illness. He was born on September 16, 1927 at Kirkton, ON to the Ross and Luella (Gower) Taylor. Ken served his country in the Royal Canadian Navy for over 20 years; then Ken worked for Bechtel International for over 17 years; he retired from Saint John Shipbuilding after 7 years with the company. He was a member of Probus and Riverside Golf and Country Club. Ken enjoyed bridge with his wife and gardening.
He is survived by three daughters: Jackie Peters (Wally) of Toronto, ON, Yvonne Dinardo (Victor) of Windsor, ON and Karen Ann Hein (Reinhold) of Edmonton, AB; aunt, Alma Brunzlow; six grandchildren: Michael (Kristen), Stephanie (Greg), Ryan (Christine), Kenneth (Christine), Timothy (Brandy) and Kathleen; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation Sunday from 2 to 4 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Rothesay, NB on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 12 noon, with a reception to follow. Interment will in St. Peter's Cemetery, Dartmouth, NS at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
