VARDY Wilfred Raymond — It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Wilfred Raymond Vardy, age 75, from Hickman’s Harbour at the LA Miller Centre, St. John’s on October 4, 2008. Predeceased by parents, James and Belle Vardy; brothers Bill, Jim, Scott; sister Sarah (Sally) and sister-in-law Nellie. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are his wife, Geraldine; daughters Sharon Vardy (Paul King), Lily Pittman (Elvis) and Rhonda Bennett (Mike); grandchildren Angie (Rob), Gerri Ann (Mike), Michael (Natalie), Ryan, Justen, Shasta (Donnie); great-grandchildren, Breanna, Ryder and Aiden; brothers Ralph (Lorraine), Clyde (Charlotte), Charle (Pat), Ross (Ruby); sisters Dulcie Brown (Jim), Olive Elkins (Arthur); sisters-in-law Edith Vardy and Barbara Wiseman; Geraldine’s brothers, sisters and families, nieces, nephews and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Vardy’s Funeral Home, Random Island. Funeral service to take place from the United Church, Hickman’s Harbour on Wednesday, 2 p.m. with interment following. In lieu of flowers donations to the Ambulatory Care, Health Sciences Complex are greatly accepted.
