1952 - 2010. Gerard Poirier, 57 of Saint-Antoine, loving husband to Doris (LeBlanc) Poirier, has passed away Thursday, August 12th, 2010 at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton after a lengthy illness. Born in Saint-Antoine on December 15th, 1952, he was the son of the late Henri Poirier and Juliette (LeBlanc) Poirier.
Gerard will be sadly missed by his wife Doris, his mother Juliette Poirier of Saint-Antoine, his two children, Tina Poirier (Denis Saulnier) and Gerard Jr. (Gerry) (Marie-Cécile) both of Saint-Antoine, his four grandchildren, Justin, Chelsea, Ashley, and Cody. Also to mourn him, his five sisters, Stella Girouard (Albert) of Richiboucto-Village, Thérèse Boudreau (Jean-Paul), Yvonne LeBlanc (Gerard) both of Saint-Antoine, Ida Gallant (Antoine) of Sainte-Anne de Kent, Jeannine Carroll of Bouctouche, four brothers, Acquila (Rémone), Omer (Murielle), Noel (Linda) all of Saint-Antoine, Edouard (Maria) of Saint-Damien, and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by one brother Roger (2005).
Visitation will be held at the Saint-Antoine L'Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Antoine, on Sunday, August 15th, from 7 to 9 and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Antoine Church on Monday, August 16th, 2010 at 7:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
In Gerard's memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation.
